StabileFlex Transtibial Socket Design

StabileFlex Objectives

  • Design works with airtight pin systems, suction sockets and vacuum suspension systems

  • Uses fiberglass casting technique to obtain a more consistent capture of the residual limb

  • The design focuses on the medial tibial flat as the primary weight bearing area

  • Total contact with uneven pressure distribution

  • Eliminates excessive patellar tendon pressure

  • Encourages quadriceps strengthening

  • Reduces traction on end of limb

  • Increases knee range of motion

  • Improves rotational control

  • Normalizes gait
